PHP libraries

hi there, i was just wondering if there is such a thing as a PHP library? Like jquery for javascript, is there one for php where you can like put in codes that make shopping carts and like cookies and stuff… thx

@NogDogMar 24.2011 — There are all sorts of libraries, from frameworks like Zend or CodeIgniter to applications like WordPress or vBulletin (on which this forum runs), and everything in between. You can check out class libraries like PEAR.php.net or phpclasses.org, and app libraries like php.opensourcecms.com. And there are general source code sites like sourceforge.net and code.google.com which have lots of PHP code.
