converting video upload on the cloud

Hi.

I am using JWPlayer to play videos on my project website. However, say if the uploaded video of the user is too big (I use PHP for this), I am in need of it to convert the video before saving on my server.

Any suggestions on converting the uploaded video before saving on my server?

mp4, avi, or flv are the video types I could accept. Then upon uploading I would want to convert it to FLV before saving on server.
