Progress bar for tracking purposes

All,
I’m trying to walk a person through the registration process on my site. This is a total of 4 or 5 steps. I’m thinking about using the jQuery progress bar to go from like 25% when the user starts, 50% after the second page etc.

I’d like to do the calucation on what page they are on and then move the progress bar to show the progress. How can I alter the jQuery code to acheive this type of result? Also, is there anyway to animate the move from like 25 to 50%? Thanks in advance!
