2 column layout using divs, one fixed one fluid.

I’m looking for some help creating a simple 3 column layout using divs, two fixed width divs for a navigation bar to the left (200px) and a ‘slither’ next to that for a ‘show/hide’ control (20px) and finally one fluid content div to the right filling the screen and can be scrolled (but the navigation bar remains on screen at all times).

I then want to show/hide the navigation bar using javascript.

Can anyone help?
