Anyone got a handle on this?
My hosting account went down just after the New Year and my hosting company replaced the content of my site with their own .
They changed the title to Suspended Hosting -www.mysite.com and added a lot of their own content relating to their business.
This lasted all of 2 days when they were able to process my cheque.
Google ,however had noticed this and now the cache attached to my site corresponds to this irrelevant holding page.
I keep a weary eagle eye on the situation and ,although Google changes the date on its cache regularly (4 times so far -so it must be getting crawled) it will not go so far as to actually reflect the content of my page accurately.
I get practically zero referrals from the Google search engine and if I try to find my own site in the search lists (by typing the name of the establishment for example as that appears in the title tag and is very unique also) this is quite without success.
If I am patient might this last until the Summer or should I give Google a telephone call?
I have used the addurl procedure a few days ago now but I don’t hold out too much hope….
