Hi, I am very new to designing websites, so please any help would be appreciated. I am trying to design a website with div tags, about 3 to split 3 sections, would I need a main div for the whole page to put those 3 in there? Anyways my main thing is, I want to design main buttons in the left section, that would probably be easy. But there should be other buttons on top. I am trying to design buttons where you move your mouse on it or click, the color changes. That can be done with JS and shouldn’t be hard. But how do I design cool buttons like on CNN, Weather, Wellsfargo websites. Where when you click the button, the button seems either pushed down or popped out, and the color under it, for the page, seems to change to the button’s. Not the whole pages, but the section under it, so it seems that this is a tab you popped. So that tab-style buttons. Is this hard? Any code or hints would be greatly appreciated. Also, is it only possible to design rectangular buttons? I have seen some buttons where you click on it, it changes to triangular button, meaning that the sharp edge points to the bottom, or the page, so which hints that that button is currently speaking.
