I took over a website for a non-profit cat shelter. It had a long (75 entry boxes!!) application form which used ASP. It worked fine for a while and then suddenly didn’t work. I don’t know ASP so I tried to convert it into a basic html form. It works fine in IE but nothing happens when I click on the Submit button in FF. The beginning and ending code is like this –
<form action=”mailto:
<table cellpadding=”2″ cellspacing=”5″ border=”0″ bgcolor=”#c8defcf”><tr><td><font face=”Verdana” size=”2″ color=”#000000″>ADOPTION APPLICATION</font></td></tr></table>
<input type=”submit” name=”submit” value=”Submit”>
<input name=”reset” type=”reset” id=”reset” value=”Reset”>
</font></td></tr>
</table>
</form>
I ran the form through an html validator to see if there was something else causing it but everything checked out fine, even though the coding is antiquated. I can’t use one of the free online form generators because it is too long.
I very much appreciate any help. We can’t afford to pay someone to do this as ASP or PhP so I am hoping they will be happy with just an html form – if I can get it to work in FF.
