Page background issue

This is just a layout im practicing out with
[url]http://www.slayerdesigns.com/tests/test1/[/url]
but i have an issue where when you visit the site in windowed mode or are viewing it in a really small resolution, the background on the right still shows, i want it to dissappear, its only there to provide eye candy for the big screen users..

The background on [url]http://answers.yahoo.com/[/url] is the idea im trying to explain

i think its totally dependent on screen resolution.
