Re-order listings

I’m not sure this is the right forum but I’m thinking it is. I have a non-content management listing site.

If I wanted to take an html web page with content such as:

Business Name id rating

Frank Miller Cars id#148 Rating 55

Don Knotts Crusiers id#093 Rating 12

Jose Roberts Vehicles id#895 Rating 33

Then I wanted my users to be able to reorder those by clicking on on business name (meaning alphabetical), id, or rating. How would I go about doing that?

Is there simple javascripts already created that would allow for this? Or am I searching in the wrong direction?

For bonus points would be if their was a search bar at the top. All of this is kinda like finding new players in Yahoo Fantasy Football if your familiar with that. Just a bit less complex I’d think…LOL.

I checked code canyon and found this which is almost perfect!

I will contact the author if need be but does anybody know if their would be a way to modify this somehow so that I could have additional things in each row. Example:


1 9.1 The Shawshank Redemption (1994) 489048

*****5 thumbnails of the movie stills that when clicked on display a lightbox popout of the images*****

*****Link to the Shawshank Redemption Website****


2 9.1 The Godfather (1972) 392126

*****5 thumbnails of the movie stills that when clicked on display a lightbox popout of the images*****

And so on....


Does that make sense?
