External Style Problem

I have an unwieldy site built in coldfusion that I work on that has some content areas we control though most of it is in the developers hands. We have access to one secondary stylesheet which we can edit and upload. However it seems lately that when we try to apply classes from this stylesheet, they are not displayed. We end up going with inline styles time and time again, making the site more unwieldy each time we add or modify a page on the site. Here is an example of a page NOT displaying the styles:
http://publicbikes.com/c/Stocking-gifts?preview=true
And what I end up doing with inline styles:
http://publicbikes.com/c/Xmas-gifts?preview=true

Wondering if there is a wrapper div outside of our CMS that is overriding the new styles? Thank you. Our developers are more programmers than CSS coders, so not able to help in this matter. Thank you!

@bathurst_guyNov 28.2010 — The only thing I notice different between those two pages is a little padding after the heading.

When you upload the edited external stylesheet, make sure you force refresh the page to obtain the updated stylesheet from the server - it may be caching the old one.

@spitfire72authorNov 29.2010 — Thank you! I was seeing two totally different pages. That now begs the question as to why my FF force re-fresh is not working! I thought it was also enough to look at the stylesheet that is linked in codeview and make sure it shows the new styles. Apparently not. Thanks again. It's sad how often we forget there are simpler solutions out there....

@spitfire72authorNov 29.2010 — I thought it was solved but clearing, even disabling the cache is not working in Firefox. Just did browser shots and they look like this: http://browsershots.org/http://publicbikes.com/c/Xmas-gifts?preview=truenot reading the stylesheet. The images should appear in a grid like attached. Wondering if there is a server level cache that is not re-freshing to read the new styles? Or did I do some monkey business to the code....argh. Thank you!

@bathurst_guyDec 06.2010 — They still look fine to me, it may be that Firefox behaves differently. I'm in Safari on a Mac. You might need to research the difference between how browsers translate the styles, specifically padding.
