I would like to embed a functional spreadsheet formula on a webpage that allows users to enter data and arrive at solution. I can create it in Excel 2007.
@RidgeHikerauthorNov 22.2010 — #There will be a few different ones on different pages. They will all be simple mathematical ones. I have created the first one already in Excel 2007 and it has 10 input fields and 2 calculation fields.
@criterion9Nov 22.2010 — #Might be best to convert it to a JS solution. I'm not sure of a way to embed excel files with cell formulas or macros across browsers (plus if you could that would open a big security hole and potential for malicious content).
@RidgeHikerauthorNov 22.2010 — #I do not know JavaScript. I did find a program called Spreadsheet Converter which appears to do the conversion. Anyone know anything about it?
@RidgeHikerauthorNov 24.2010 — #I tried Google Docs. Perhaps I am missing something but it was not what I am looking for. I saved an Excel workbook and went through their sharing and embedding process. It did not actually embed it on the page, which is what I want, but linked it back to Google Docs where the user could choose to open the spreadsheet.
