Tricky riddle about Wikymapia site main tool

Hello!
There is one thing that’s been stuck in my mind for a couple of days.
How is [URL=”http://wikimapia.org”]Wikimapia’s [/URL]polygon instrument created?
You know, those polygons, witch every user could make by drawing lines and corners.
But what the script is behind of it??? (any listing will be appreciated a lot!)
And what is the key basis for it? //<area> tag? VML? Flash?

I’ve googled a lot of time and didn’t find anything reasonable!!!

Please, give me a clue or just drop any useful thread or pluging!!!
