odbc

We have a website right now that uses Oracle as the database. We have a database connection class that defines everything to connect, select, insert, updated, etc. I need to re-write this class to use odbc. It needs to be generic enough to talk to Oracle, DB2, etc. Could someone point me in the right direction or show me how to this.
