Image blend problem

Hello,

I am from a windows application and middleware background using C# and VB.Net and have started learning about web development. I am okay so far with HTML etc but have a website project for myself that requires some Javascript or DHTML and i am stuck. I wish to have part of the web page which blend images in rotation. I found a script that works on its own but when I place it in my actual website it does not work.

I have attached a zip file containing a folder named Example where the image blending works and a folder named Actual which is the website where the image blending does not. |Unfortunately, due to file upload restrictions I have had to limit the images to two

Thanks in advance for any assistance. The website is for a colleague of mine and myself who aim to set up our own company and expand from windows applications to web applications but just need some advice on this small problem.

Regards

Alano

@KorOct 22.2010 — I don't sense which is the problem (except maybe that the code makes the blend transition only in IE, as it uses non-standard IE only methods). But even so, both your examples (Example and Actual) works the same on IE (7 and 8). So?

@AlanoauthorOct 22.2010 — Thanks Kor.

I am using IE8 on Windows 7 professional but doesn't work in the actual version. Any suggestions please?

I work also with IE8/Win7 Enterprise (which I don't expect to be different from the Professional edition, at least not when dealing with IE8), but I can not confirm the error. Except, maybe, if I did not understand too well which error is about? The transition works. What else do you want?

@AlanoauthorOct 22.2010 — It is good that it is working for you, that is encouraging but the error or problem is that for me in the actual website the images do not even appear, not even the initial image on load. Please find attached a screen dump of what I see when I open web page.

Thanks again for any assistance. I think I am simply missing a minor problem that may be obvious to yourself.

Hi KOR,

Thanks again. Could I ask you to expand on this and explain more please.

Forgive me but my limited web development experience is showing, although I am learning gradually.

Regards
