Inconsistent javascript error on page

I occassional gets javascript error in one of my pages. This error gets removed when the temporary internet files are deleted. What could be the issue. The page is a jsf page with many a4j calls. The error says “Object does not support this property or method”. If anybody has faced this issue before, please help me.
