JS function to open an overlay pop-up

Hi Everyone,

I need a javascript function which i can call passing an URL as a parameter, which opens that URL in an overlay pop-up. I’ll be using this function in an XML which is called by a flash so I am not sure if tools like lightbox, etc are useful. Kindly help as I am not that great with javascript.

Following is my xml code which will be rendering data to my flash
