onclick problem with hotspot

Hi,
having problem with using hotspot with link to an event onclick=”play()”
It works ok when using input type=”button” value=”Play” onclick=”Play()” />
on same webpage.

<map name=”index_r3_c2Map” id=”index_r3_c2Map”>
<area shape=”rect” coords=”28,6,56,34″ href=”onclick=”play()” /> </map> alt=”butt1″ />

Is this actually possible?
Any advice appreciated.

below has no active hyperlink if I remove href. I therefore lose hotspot ?

I am placing this manually in DW template, and saving.

am I missing something obvious ?
