Good evening,
First of all foremost let me thank all of you for a free resource like this, it makes a difference to the coding community and I really do appreciate it. This is my first post and hopefully not my last, and if I can contribute in the future I’ll certainly try too.
I have a bit of a problem, I’m not sure if this will fit under HTML, Java or CSS so if I’m in the wrong category I apologise.
I have a writer on one of my blogs who likes to use acronyms in his typing, of course this isn’t ideal as not everyone understands him.
What I want to do is create a script that will either A) show all of these acronyms as the full version on rollover (automatically without me having to manually edit the code all of the time) or ? Show a text box description of what it means.
The text will be plain, not links so rollover of a: wont work. It also needs to happen automatically, either after he posts his content or when people view the site.
If I’ve not explained myself properly I do apologise, just ask me to clarify what you dont understand and I’ll try to be as concise as possible.
Thank you,
Matthew.
