Working with a FORM

I’m new to all this. I have designed a Form that has many TEXT boxes. When the user clicks “Submit” I want to capture the info in the Text boxes and e-mail the results to me. I have no idea how to do this. Can you HELP?

Another question: How can I verify data in the text box? For Example–the text box of Quantity, must be numeric. The other text boxes in the table must contain the letter “X” or be blank.

The concept of the form I’m trying to do is like an “Order Form”. Maybe there is an easier way to do this?????

Any help on your part would be most welcome.

Some idea of my background–I did some VB programming so I know “logic”. I don’t know any of the Web languages such as ASP, Java, etc.

Thanks,
Sam

@notFoundAug 14.2010 — as for verification if you have Adobe Dreamweaver there is SPRY validation , if not then id highly recommend that you get Adobe Dreamweaver.

if it weren't for a problem with my html / php form right now i would have given you my script. [thats the only reason i found myself on this site.]

I have an old version of Dreamweaver-Version 3.0. About 6 months ago, I updated my OS to Windows-7-Ultimate. I did not reload this product. I wonder if it's going to work? I wonder if it has SPRY? The only way to find out, is to load it.

Based on the experience you have, using ASP classic would be the best choice for migration.
