Why is the first parameter in call_user_func_array an array?

In WordPress, call_user_func_array is used like this:
call_user_func_array( array( &$current_user, ‘has_cap’ ), $args );
According to PHP.net, the first parameter should be a function. Also, the function “has_cap” is in a class.

@NogDogAug 09.2010 — Presumably $current_user is an object, and "has_cap" is one of its methods. This array format is how you specify a callback function when it is a method.
