jquery get() method

Hey all,

I understand that jquery get() method takes a url parameter and additional object literals as a parameter:
$.get(“test.php”, { name: “John”, time: “2pm” } );
My question is what’s going on behind the scenes here? Like what does the test.php and the additional object literal do once its passed int get(). I’ve seen technical explanations but I was hoping someone would break it down into layman terms. Thanks for response.

@PadonakJul 03.2010 — why wouldn't you just open the main jquery script with any text editor and do all the investigations by yourself?
