Function to convert a plain text UNC path into a clickable link

I’m wondering if anybody has a PHP function that parses plain text and converts any UNC paths it finds into clickable link. For example:

Text before parsing:

[code=html]
Check out the file located at \ServerShareFile.txt for more info.

Check out the file located at “\ServerShare With SpacesFile.txt” for more info.
[/code]

Text after parsing:

[code=html]
Check out the file located at <a href=”file://///Server/Share/File.txt”>\ServerShareFile.txt</a> for more info.

Check out the file located at <a href=”file://///Server/Share%20With%20Spaces/File.txt”>”\ServerShare With SpacesFile.txt”</a> for more info.
