embedding Flash for sound

I’m creating a browser-based game using JavaScript, and want to add sound that’ll work in most browsers. I understand that this can best be done by embedding a Flash movie with height and width set to zero. But I can’t find any clear information on how to do this.

Will I need to create a .swf file, or is it enough to create an .mp3 file? Can anyone help me with the JavaScript code for embedding such a Flash movie (with a Play button)?

@enginistauthorMay 05.2010 — I'm sorry, I just realized that this question probably has little to do with javascript (except re when I want to use javascript to play the sound, etc.)

__ I guess it's more appropriate in the HTML forum..
