Hi there,

I’m using this code to go back to the previous page,its working nicely on the first page,when I view the second page after search it does go back to the previous page,but I have to refresh the page to see the previous data,is there a way when I click this link ,takes me to the previous page,and automatically refreshes the page.

<a href=’javascript:history.go(-1)’> Previous page</a>

@BIOSTALLApr 09.2010 — Hi BigNose,

I would generally advise against the javascript method of going back. For a few reasons:

a) What if the user doesn't have javascript enabled?

b) When it does take the user back they will encounter the issue you are facing; an out of date page.

c) If the previous page received data submitted from a form, the user will receive an alert asking them if they would like to resend the data... nasty!

Is it possible you could give a direct link back? ie. <a href="previous-page-url-here">Previous Page</a>

Success!
