I need a to encode sigle and double quotes in javascript

I need to encode single and double quotes in javascript just the same result of encode comes as when we encode the php string with htmlentities and get a result of single quote as ' and double quoate as "

i need the same result with javascript when we pass single quote i need same output as &#39.
