whats the target=”” bit to make a link in an iframe fill the window but not open a new window

im sure i know but cant remember

That depends on how deeply the frames are nested.

target="_parent" should work in most cases.

Anyway - I'm sure if the iframe is somewhere in a document with a very "complicated" frame structure, target="_top" will be safer (target="_parent" points to the [I]immediate[/I] farmeset parent)...
