Jquery collapsible div issue – please help!

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with a jquery collapsible div script that I found on the net.

My problem is that it the div expands when I click the expand image/link but it won’t collapse again after that.

There are a few other divs inside the div that I am collapsing that are set to float:left in css and when I take that away it works. Even putting   before the div that needs to collapse works but none of these are a solution. I would really like to get to the bottom of this.

I am a total JS / jQuery noob, so please explain in the simplest terms. Would really, really appreciate some help.

Just to let you know that jquery has its own toggle function so you wouldn't even need this plugin. Take a look at

@webidauthorMar 12.2010 — Thanks for the suggestion but I got the same result.

I would really like to get this particular script working for me since I am it has the fade effect and the image turns when you expand/collapse the div. I'm sure this could be done other ways but I don't have enough experience to implement it and I'm on a time limit in this case.

Going to hold out and hope someone else comes up with a solution.
