Please help : Javascript / joomla menu not showing french characters

Hello Experts ?

I would really appreciate your help.

I have a menu in joomla that is not showing my french characters.

-My localhost database is in UTF8
-My html header is in utf8 too

Here’s what I think is happenning (please enlighten me if I’m wrong).

The javascript is reading each menu item but cannot interpret the french accents, that’s why I think they are not showing up, as you will see, the french characters are not visible, and replaced by a blank space.

@toicontienFeb 20.2010 — It's working find for me in Firefox 3.5. If it's still not working for you, it might be caused by the JavaScript file being delivered as ISO-8859-1 instead of UTF-8. I'm just grasping at straws here though.
