Hi, all.
As a quick search of these forums will reveal, I’m definitely not the first to ask about the htaccess login form script at: [url]http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/htaccess-login.html
When developing a site for a client, I create a new folder for each client and add htaccess authentication via my cPanel to require a login for access to that folder (I add an Allow line with my IP address so I don’t have to login as well…).
The above-mentioned script would be great in that it would allow me to customize the page and make it look more professional, but, unless I’m not understanding how it’s supposed to be used correctly, it doesn’t really bypass the htaccess authentication using the browser’s popup window.
I created a login page using the script and put it in a client’s folder, but to access the login script, the user still has to pass authentication through the regular browser’s popup window.
Am I missing something and not setting it up properly?
Thanks for any help!
