I have a header & content div (one below the other) and in the header div there is a dropdown menu that will overlap the content div.
In IE7 I know that the parent Div’s z-index is what lets the nav show over the content div. That’s working perfectly, the problem is when I have an <H1> in the content div.
(only IE7, others work perfect)
I hover over the menu and it shows up (over the H1) so far everything is good. but the second i work my way down the dropdown and my mouse pointer goes over a nav item that is on top of the H1 (despite being behind) its detected that my mouse has left and the nav hides again.
I’m not sure what could be causing this, its only IE7 & I’m using jQuery to detect mouse enter/leave events… I have also tried jQuerys hover instead but produced the same results.
its acting like the h1 is over my dropdown but visually clearly isn’t? I have done nothing odd to my h1 (inline, no floats…) even tried giving it a lower z-index (no effect)
Ideas? Thanks,
