I’m working on a page, that, for the immediate future will only have one column of info (id=”maincontent”), but later on will have a navigation side bar (id=”sidebarnav”).
Inside the maincontent div I have additional divs which are floating left and floating right. I want to write the CSS so that the space between the two floating divs is the same as the spacing between each of the divs and the border of #maincontent. I know i can do this by specifying margins in pixels, but i would prefer a more general approach so that when i add in the #sidenavbar div, and #maincontent width automatically shrinks, I don’t have to go in a fix the margins for each of the floating divs within #maincontent.
Thanks.
