Html GUI ?!

Hi All,
i am coming from Java environnement, i am about transfer my DataBase Programs i made using my old collaction (Java-Mysql-Swing)…. to the new collaction (php-mysql-html)…
so i need a help in the level of the gui…
usually i use SWING that contains a whole set for making the panels and menus and others…
What are the HTML capabilities in this level???
Can u help me please :
1) webSites and tutorials concerning advanced HTML web design
2) Free tool for making html gui graphically ….

@kiwibritDec 01.2009 — If you are talking WYSIWYG HTML applications, there is Dreamweaver, at a price - or HTML Kit, free. There are other applications out there which folk like - Google and see.

I kicked off learning about HTML with the books 'PHP and MySql Web Development' and 'Web Design in a Nutshell' - I thought both quite good at the time.
