question re: imagetruecolortopalette

Hi all

If you use imagetruecolortopalette to go from true colour to palette, and you include the palette colours argument (which limits the palette to a maximum number of colours), how does GD choose which colours to include?

Let’s say I specify a maximum of 10, Does it just take the first 10 that GD can read from the true colour image, or does it have some sort of selection process?
