Internet Explorer Issues

I have a website I’m doing for a friend and used the spry vertical menu bar. It seems to show up accurately in everything except IE (of course). For some reason when the links expand it appears behind my main section so you can’t see the collapsable links. Also in IE 8 it shows up about 20 pixels to the righ of where it should be. I was going to try using the z index but read that’s only for absolutely positioning. Can anyone help? To see the beta site it can be seen at http://www.7xstudios.com/fays_new/index.html

Thank you very much.

@FangNov 12.2009 — Don't use position:relative to align elements. It triggers a variety of bugs in IE and is unnecessary in 99% of cases.

Align using the margin or padding properties.
