How make div’s child nodes (spans) pass click to it?

I have a div that listens for click events. Given certain things a user does, span nodes get added into the div. However, when the user then clicks on the span node, no click is passed on (unlike font nodes which pass it through). Do I have to add a click listener for every span node? Will that slow event processing down?

Hm...How did you insert those child nodes? As long as they have no click event attach, the parent's click should fire anyway, no matter the browser. Can we see your code?

Success!
