Third level of quotes?

Hello, there..

I’m in a situation where I might need a third level of quotes. Here’s the one line of code i’m struggling with.
calstr += “<a href=’#’ onClick=’alert(daycount);’>”;
I now know with the help of the forum that I need to quote daycount in the above line of code, but well I ran out of two sets of quotations already there.
(Oh.. trust me. The variable daycount is defined in my script.)

What should be done to fix this problem? Like always, thanks in advance.

I switched your ' and " because it's more traditional and escaped, , the nested quotes
