extract images from pdf or save page as image

Hi,
My client gives a pdf file and i need to extract images from that and make a copy of each page as an image. what are the functions to do this process?
or any possibility to do this work?

@JunkMaleSep 14.2009 — I would say start reading up here : http://uk3.php.net/manual/en/function.pdf-open-image-file.php and also searching the internet as you will find plenty of examples on "Making" but not extracting.

PDF is not the best option as it could be password protected or a setting made to stop you opening the file to extract the images.

It would be far simpler if your client provided jpg's which will be way smaller than a PDF file.

@KevMortonFeb 05.2016 — its not simple as pdf support and document support isn't there in PHP there is a command line tool you can use on nix called pdfimages.

1 use nix

2 import pdf

3 run pdfimages command on pdf

4 save images
