Request about the Simple Dropdown Javascript

Hello fellow Web Developers.

I have been using the Simple Dropdown Javascript found on this site ([URL=”http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/simple-drop-down-menu.html?start_comment=0″]link[/URL]) for some time now.

However I now have a client that wishes that once you hover over the sub items in either one of the menu selections the :hover function is still to be active on the top level link (the one that you hovered over to get the submenu down)

I looked around the javascript, however with my expertise being in the graphics department, I don’t have a lot of JS experience and was unable to find a solution for myself. So I now turn to you for help, so hope that you can help me out ?

If what I wrote doesn’t make sense, please just say so and I will try to spell myself out better ?

or that the top/sub level displays remain visible while you move to a different top/sub level display?

I'm not sure I understand the nature of the request.

Can you give a specific example? ?

you can see hopefully see what I mean, and by taking a look at the source code in the first link again, maybe give me a solution? ? Thanks again..
