[RESOLVED] created class and it is printed to screen

When i access the following class, it prints:

class User { $userID = “”; $userFirstName = “”; $userLastName = “”; } to the screen.

Here is the page:

<?

class User
{
$userID = “”;
$userFirstName = “”;
$userLastName = “”;

}

$u = new User();
$u2 = new User();

$u->userFirstName = “Michael”;
$u2->userFirstName = “Beth”;

echo “one name = “.$u->userFirstName.”<br/>”;
echo “two name = “.$u2->userFirstName.”<br/>”;

?>

I tried putting the class in an includes file but had the same results. Can anyone see where i am going wrong?
