How to call a javascript function alongwith validation controls

I have a page with many input controls. Some of them have Validation Controls and some have custom javascript validation function (not used by Custom Validator Control; as those functions cannot be called from the Custom Validator Controls). After hitting the submit button, only the controls which have custom javascript function are validated and no validation is performed on the controls which have Validation Controls. How can I invoke both type of validations on the submit button action?
