Another Regex, this time <p … >

Hi,

I m in a need to replace all <p> tags of a given html to special program specific tags [p].

With plain <p> it is ok, but when <p> tags have attributes, they too also need to be converted.

  • 1. <p> must be converted to [p]

  • 2. <p align=”right”> also must be converted to [p]
  • Think replacement of a regular expression is the solution?

    Again I am a dumb@regex ..

    So, can someone pls let me know the solution.. ?

    Thanks and Best Regards

    $map = array(
    '/<p[^>]*>/i' => '[p]',
    '/</p>/i' => '[/p]'
    );
    $string = preg_replace(array_keys($map), $map, $text);
    [/code]
