places API in javascript

Hi all,
i am reposting here something which i posted in a forum without any reply —

i want to display some query results from my places in some of the web pages dynamically via a script. does anyone know how to achieve that .. greasemonkey scripts usually prohibit accessing places.

also and forgive me if this is a stupid doubt … do you all need to restart FF after you create a new query (or update it) in FF bookmark system or am i alone ? cant tell you how irritating this is ..
