Can somebody tell me how to get the drop down menu’s like that of Canada Computers. I’ve search everywhere but I cannot seem to find a site with a decent explanation, if any.
@Smurf_PimpauthorNov 16.2003 — #Thanks a lot, that was exactly what i was lookin for. All i need now is to find a way to get the menu to pop up in a uniform place every time now. As it is right now the menu pops up depending on where your mouse scrolls over, i would rather it pop up in the same place every time
@LizaseeNov 16.2003 — #And I just *did* ask the same question *before* I found this...thanks. What would be ideal, though, is to have my submenu look something like this. http://www.worldpressphoto.nl
I love the look of it, but don't know how to get it. Any ideas?
@Anthony_2oo3Nov 16.2003 — #That is a good menu but they will have had that made for them. I havnt seen any on the internt for free but am sure if u edit a simular one u may got what you wish
I know it's possible, at least in IE (if I recall, it's not as stable in Netscape). Check this site...ignore that when you first get there, it is in a different place...that is because of the pop-up ad they have at the beginning.
@LizaseeNov 20.2003 — #By looking at that Canada site, possibly it may be this part of each line at the beginning of the menu list. It looks like it is hard coding the x,y position for the beginning of each menu box...see the 140,19? If you look at the first line of each menu box, it appears to be the x,y (notice it is always 19, and each descending list has a bigger first numbe...meaning lower?). I think that may be it.
window.fw_menu_2 = new Menu("root",140,19,"Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif",12,"#ffffff","#7999ba","#7999ba","#ffffff");
@LizaseeNov 24.2003 — #I have gotten a menu like this to work in IE and Netscape on PC, but on my husband's Mac it doesn't seem to work - and other mouseover menus do seem to work.
