Some general questions

Rigtht well i have xammp working and can display all my php files its set up and everything but i was under the impression that normal HTML files with css attachments would work like normal through xammp could anyone explain why it doesnt.

Also does this mean qill need to redesign my website into php ?
which would definently be a good starting practice anyway.

Also why hasn’t anyone made a php viewing program thats solely on the computer not server you know like an instant php displayer
seems dum that i couldnt find one anywhere and had to set up a server for something i dont even want on the web yet.

@CharlesAug 02.2009 — Normal HTML files should work like normal; you've got something odd going on there. In what way is it not normal?

There is a PHP viewer. Download from http://www.php.net/downloads.php and then run from the command line. If you want it displayed in a particular browser then save to a file and then view the file in that browser. Or use a server.

@CharlesAug 02.2009 — I would have to see your config page, and I don't want to do that. First, make sure that you have the names right, case-sensitive. And then start going through your .htaccess and config.
