URL REwrite did not work on server

Hello All,

I have an issue regarding URL Rewriting.

it is working fine on my local system but when I upload to the server it did not work.

same server I have hosted other sites too and URL Rewrite works there.

any way that I can test it and see how to fix this issue.

Thanks in advance

@JunkMaleJul 26.2009 — Is it safe to assume that you chose a host that is using apache? if your rules are not working, you may need to adjust your path info.

This is the problem I get, I write a rule that runs fin on my environment but not on the server.

It would be a good idea to ask your host and get the answer from the horses mouth.

@zahidrafauthorJul 26.2009 — I spoke to my hosting and they said w are not providing tech support.

in same hosting it is working with other site

my domain name is .us and same code work with .com etc

is that can be an issue ??

That is a typical answer tha most hosts will give you. You asked them a question about the services that they support and they responded with a blow off response.

You should go back and ask them again, pointing out that you are not looking for tech support on your code but tech support about the service that they provide and you are checking if they have it configured correctly on their server...

You should expect to find this tech help an uphill struggle until the penny drops and they realize that your actually asking them about their service and not after code help. I have had this issue with all the hosts I have ever used and it seems to be embedded as a gold standard fob off comment.

So go back to them. If theyre ****ty with you again, remind them that you are the customer and you have paid them for certain aspects of tech help and the have failed to understand your question and reassert the fact your not asking for coding tech help with your scripts. It is important to get that fact across or you will just keep getting fobbed off with crappy service responses like the one you just posted back.
