Why they are still making IE?

Can you tell me a way to check if the browser of the user is IE (all versions now, and that will possibly come in the future) so I can redirect them to the Firefox Download page?

@NogDogJul 22.2009 — You can look at the $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] value and parse it for "MSIE" or whatever.

However, I'd think twice about redirecting users: that's a real good way to piss them off and make them go somewhere other than your site. If it's really important to you, you could simply make a JavaScript pop-up within an IE conditional comment telling the user IE sucks and asking them if they'd like to download Firefox. (Or you could just do what most of us do and make sure your site works with IE, since it is still by far the most used browser, like it or not.)
