Search Engine Query

My website is appearing in different line ups when I search it on different computers. Sometimes it is on top, and sometimes it is three pages in. I am using the same search engine and keywords to look it up. Is there a reason for this? I haven’t done anything that would move it up in the line up on other computers (like optimize it in a google search). I was just curious.

@dtm32236Jul 13.2009 — It is completely normal for a site's SERP (Search Engine Results Position) to change - but usually not that drastically.

Normally sites will float +/- 3 or 4 positions. Not 3-4 pages though - that's strange and I have no explanation for that.

@ShortsJul 13.2009 — Are you logged into Gmail on one of the computers? Otherwise probably seems like just connecting to different servers that don't have most current data.
