I want to build a website with one page that has links to downloadable files AND ads on the sides.
Currently, I’ve created an html page of links using Directory Lister Pro. This program automatically generates links from a chosen directory on my local computer. Then I make sure the directories online are the same.
Previously, I loaded this generated page of links into another page that had the ads with an IFRAME (I don’t want to copy paste the code for ads into another page every time content is updated). I found out that IFRAMES don’t render consistently on different browsers. So I changed it to load the page as an object. However, this doesn’t show up at all in Firefox on Mac!
Please help me find a way to create a list of downloadable files within a border of ads. Preferably it would update automatically based on the folder content online but I’m fine with generating the page on my computer for each update as long as there isn’t copy pasting involved for each update. I’m willing to dabble in PHP.
