Assessing Colours in PDF Documents

A client wishes to be able to analyse a PDF document and record the number of colour and black & white pages in it. Is there a PHP library or class that would allow this kind of analysis, or does anyone know of any companies offering online software (either for licensing or server-to-server) that would be able to perform this analysis? Thanks in advance for any help.

@Inferno_str1keauthorJun 14.2009 — #It seems no one is able to come up with an answer for the OP. Widening the topic a bit, can anyone suggest a good library or class for converting JPEG, DOC and maybe XLS files into PDF online?
