automated check cashing procedure?

I have a site where users can cash out their points and I would send them a check.

The user would browse to the ‘cashier.php’ page and click ‘cash out.’

Our office would receive the request and the printer would automatically print out the check.

Is there any way cronjob can pick up the user’s request and send a signal to our local printers?

Does anyone know how to implement this procedure?
